We just launched configurable agent memory in voice flow. Let's talk about [Music] it. One of the most common requests we hear in the VoiceFlow developer Discord community, which is over 10,000 people and you should certainly join, is that they wish their agent had more than 10 turns of memory. Why is this important? Well, that allows your agent to be able to work on a larger amount of context. Now, the larger the memory, the more tokens it will consume as you have a larger prompt, but also the more rich your agent's response will be as it's able to work with more context. So, we want to give you the option to change your memory from all the way down to a couple of turns to up to 100 turns. That puts the power in your hands to choose what is the right amount of memory for your agent to be storing. Now, voice agent steps automatically store memory. So, you don't have to do anything. There's no variable injection or anything like that. You just have to change the memory, which I'll show you how to do in a second, and that will allow your agent to work with a larger context window, a larger amount of memory. Also, we store a voice flow memory variable, which we'll put up on the screen that you can inject into any type of prompt or even into a message step. This allows you to access the memory to be able to change it, configure it, and the default memory turns for how many it can store in that variable are now configurable. Let's show you how to do it. So, here we are on our voice flow canvas for a bot we just built, which is a lead qualification bot. Now, if I go back to our settings, you'll see that in the behavior tab, we now have the max number of turns saved to memory. And you can go all the way down from 10 all the way up to 100. Again, it's that easy. This is going to store automatically for agents. So you don't have to inject the voice flow memory variable. But if you want to get a little bit more custom, if you want to inject it into uh prompts, if you want to use it in the set AI step, that is all possible and it's stored in the voice flow memory variable. You can actually see that here on the screen. And so anytime you want to inject memory, if we go ahead and create a prompt here, I'll say here is the conversation memory. All I have to do is add our VF memory variable. And now this is going to store up to the amount of turns that you have chosen in your uh memory settings. Again, larger memory is great, but it does consume more tokens. So it's ultimately up to you on how many memory turns you want to store. It also might increase latency as the prompts are larger. If you have a 100 turns of memory that you're injecting into every prompt, but voice low, our job is to be the best toolkit and you guys are the creators. So, we leave that up to you.
