I read a blog post by Sprout Social that quoted 2 billion messages are sent between people and businesses monthly. 56% of people would rather message than call customer service. 53% of people are more likely to shop with businesses they can message. FB messenger is a communication channel businesses must manage these days.
Responding to messages on Facebook is super important, but not all business owners have the time respond in a timely manner. Using messanger bots can not only help you respond quickly to messages, but can also help you grow your business. Here's 8 tips on how to grow your business by using a Facebook Messenger bot!
Tip #1) Ask/answer the most commonly asked questions? What 5–10 questions can you ask that will help you quickly identify which group the customer belongs in? Ask you sales team and customer service team what questions they commonly get.
Tip #2) Map out your content so it leads people down the right funnel
Tip #3) Make button call to actions and limit options to 2 or 3
Tip #4) This same content mapping can then be used on other platforms like your website or other social channels!
Tip #5) Craft your bots voice and personality, personalize the conversation by using the user’s name
Tip #6) Allow the user to engage with a live person
Tip #7) Run Facebook Messenger ads targeting specific audiences to get them to engage on messenger. Build an automated chatbot journey based on that.
Tip #8) You need a strong social presence to take advantage of this, or you’ll lose market share
