hello everyone hi uh welcome to this session myself Sam and I work here uh in Geeks for geeks as a mentor and I takes care of java as well as Cloud part okay so in this session let us discuss the agenda of uh today's session so in today's session we are going to talk about the database support which is there on your vulture and we will try to create our databases and uh we will explore uh which uh kind of database support your vulture Gibs okay so please uh let me know my voice is audable or not in the chat box guys please let me know so that we can proceed uh further okay I will start sharing my screen and we will explore the things okay okay fine so yeah uh I got some messages you are AUD okay thank you guys so let us just start so first of all we need to understand what is database okay and then we will move ahead with the vulture okay so basically the database where we are going to store our data okay in an organized form okay so the place where we can store our data and from where we can retrive our data okay so we call it DP or database okay so uh if I talk about wer vulture is a cloud service provider so it also provides the support for databases as well so which kind of support means on the vulture you will be able to create your own database using MySQL okay using post gr SQL okay so these uh two database support your vulture provides so how how vulture is going to manage the things so it's responsibility of vulture basically to operate the databases okay to deploy your database let us suppose if there is some security things so it is going to update the security over over your database it is going to take care of the backup part of your database if you want to scale up your database so it's responsibility of vulture to uh provide you facility to scale up okay and the maintenance of your database is also uh going to be taken care by vulture itself okay so these are the benefit and it comes under vulture management okay so as I have discussed only two database support we are going to get and the third one which is a redis okay redis we can use for Cass purpose so the first database uh engine support which we are going to get is MySQL and the second one which is your post gray SQL on vulture I will show these things on the dashboard but before we move ahead to the Practical part uh we need to just discuss the theoretical things okay now what are the key features okay before we move ahead with the key features we can like where we can use our database so let us suppose if you have a web application so in that case you can use uh these databases and let us suppose if you have some e-commerce website there you can use and for analytics purposes you can use the databases okay so let us see about the key features of uh the vulture managed databases okay so the first key feature if I talk about it is is fully managed service okay so as I have mentioned like the software updates the SEC security patches okay and uh backup things so all these things will be taken care by your vulture itself okay automation part so these things will be taken care by your vulture you just have to create your database that's it okay so so let us see the second key feature which is high availability and autom IC fail over thing so this means uh they are going to uh create replicas of your database okay so that in case of failure they will be able to provide you your data okay so that's why you can say uh it is best for failover okay and uh availability they they provide this High availability by deploying your database into multiple uh you can say Jones if it is required okay so the third one which I talk about the scalability part so they are going to create replicas and according to your requirement you will be able to scale up let us suppose if the traffic goes up by two billion or three billion so in that case you just have to pay the money to them and you will be able to get the facility of uh more databases okay so the support if I talk it provides you MySQL post gray and redish okay redish can be used for casing purposes uh the fifth feature is automated backup and point in time recovery so as you can see vulture automatically creates daily backup okay so they are going to create daily backups for your database okay security as I have mentioned it is highly secure okay they provide you SS kind of encryption also okay that you will be able to establish the secure communication between your application and database and the last uh seventh one which I talked about simple deployment I will show you how easy it is to deploy your database on vulture okay it is like uh steps few steps and with that you will be able to get the database okay and the last one uh is your real time monitoring and RT uh alerts uh there is specific dashboard for it on the vulture where you can see all the uh alerts and uh you can monitor like how much your uh CPU uses is how much memory uses is there okay so all the things you will be able to see it over there okay so let us uh go back to the dashboard of vure anyone has any query or question guys in this part okay so what we need to do we just need to click on ADD managed database first of all you have to come to products and inside product you will get the option of databases click on the databases option and here you will find add manage database click on this button now as you can see uh MySQL support is here okay post gray SQL and vulture manage databas CES okay so we are moving ahead with mySQL first and then later on we will see uh the use case of post gray SQL as well okay so I am selecting this MySQL now I scroll down and and uh we can select this uh cloud computing option because uh it will uh charge less money as you can see like $50 per month okay they will give you facility of 1 CPU 55 GB of a storage and 2 GB of RAM okay replica will be one according to your requirement you can increase the replicas of your database so uh are you moving ahead with one if you want two you can move ahead with that two so let us choose the server location where we want our database to be so Delhi is nearby me so I'm choosing this one and uh scroll down here in this option you can give uh the name of your database so I am giving name database 1 Okay now click on deploy okay after clicking on deploy it will take at least 3 to four minutes first it will rebuild and then after that it will uh so like it is active Okay so in the meantime let me show you other options so as I have shown like the alerts and uses part so there is a specific section here uses and graphs So currently it is not available but when your database will be deployed successfully then it will s all the uh users okay like you can see disk operations networks and CPU users so all the data will will appear here okay in the US section queries and logs will appear here and user users and database the uh I can say like username of your database and uh password all the things will be available here in this section and then last one will be the setting okay so let me again check in the overview it is still in rebuilding state so let us do one thing uh in the meanwhile we can create one instance so that we will be able to connect to this instance or this virtual machine with our database and we will be able to create our uh you can say like tables and all those things so first click on uh deploy new server now here we are moving ahead with Cloud uh shared CPU option the data center I'm going to choose Delhi and uh scroll down first we will do this thing with alpine Linux and then we will move ahead with one to okay I will show you both 25 GB I choosing now scroll down I don't need IPv6 auto backup is not required for the instance now scroll down and uh if you want to have SSS key go ahead and give name to your server okay I'm giving a name like uh DB server 11 Okay now click on deploy guys anyone else has any query or question the part which I have covered yet we have just created one simple database okay uh using MySQL later on I I went to compute and I created one server okay using Alpine Linux okay the operating system will be Alpine Linux here and the both things are in process the server is in installation State and your data Bas is is still in rebuilding State now your server is live check okay uh what we need to see scroll down there will be one thing password we just need to copy this thing and the username you can see here root okay the option uh here view console okay we are going to open the console and we will connect our server with this console click on this button the uh it is still in uh deployment state so wait for it it will so the things very soon okay we have to wait let me refresh this page once let me again click on this okay fine now it is uh in process okay now we need to enter our username first and after entering our username the password which I have copied let me paste it here and I'm going to enter the password here okay now password is invisible but it is already pasted so let me click enter wa will take some time I think let me reconnect once okay fine we are inside okay now let me change this thing to sud Su and as a root user we are inside so let me once check the database is this ready or not come back to this spage okay can you see it is still in rebalancing state it take some time okay so we can do one more thing for a future use case uh let us create create one more database because it will take uh some time so for post gr SQL let us create one more okay so that I will show you the use case directly thei NCR I have chosen and I have chosen this $50 per month charges and uh now I scroll down now click on this deploy Buton let it happen let it happen come back now the first one which we have created the DB1 or database one using MySQL you can see the engine my and it is still in rebalancing State and the second one is in rebuilding state so first we will see the use case of the first one let it get available our server is running fine so in a meanwhile let us uh explore some things so we are going to install the docker okay so let us come back here and we need to install the so first let me update this thing copy this Command APK add Docker and come back to the console and uh you can paste it here enter let me restart the server once we are facing some uh here okay let me server restarted copy this password and uh need to click on Console just to open it wait for it it is still in a starting State okay okay again click and uh enter the password Here now we are connected now let me write APK update now what we need to install APK add Docker okay now it is installed so let us uh move ahead with the next step we need to update Docker so the is RC update add Docker this thing now enter this is done now we need to start the docker so copy this command and come back to your console paste it here it is going to start your Docker service Docker is start okay so after pasting it click on enter now your Docker is started let us come back and uh we need to write one command sudo Su to access the root user okay fine after this let me check once again uh to our database is this ready or not okay now our mySQL database is running right now so let me show you the credentials and all those things so can you see CPU uses if you go inside the graph now it will show okay so the graph is available for now and in the overview section you can also see like 27% use of this CPU so here is uh the host so first we need to copy this host and uh let me copy the command for it and I will show you how you can install MySQL and uh how you will be able to connect with this MySQL we are going to install MySQL server here okay so we need to sorry we need to copy the host name from the desk Board of vulture so here they have provided the poost so copy this thing and uh come back to your console where we have puted all those things so paste it here uh let me again paste this thing no no is the half we need to copy this command again run and uh come back to your console paste it here and uh copy the host name from the dashboard and then we will edit this thing copy it from here again come back to console now paste it here I don't know why it is taking the things automatically we need to Cy this wait for it okay let me click on enter and it is saying some error okay fine let me restart it once okay it is giving me some problem maybe the internet issue or something else we just need to restart our Ser one I will repeat the process a bit faster let me open my Notepad as well so that I can uh edit the command which is here okay copy this command come back to notepad paste it here and from the dashboard uh in the database section first one database one which is based on MySQL copy this uh post name first okay then I will will show other things Cy this and paste the same uh here you can see Dash h means it is representing your host so it is remove this one and paste it here okay now later on we will use this one Let It Here let it here and come back to your dashboard and uh in your server get inside copy the password from here click on view console now enter the username which is root and the password which we have copyed pasted here click on enter now we are connected with this one let me run the command as fast as possible APK update first and then we will go with Apk talk APK Okay add okay now what is the next command I think we need to uh update the docker RC that's update at docker ask like does we have to pay charges uh first they will give you some credits free credits and you just have to use that one okay I think it is console is uh work slow and then we need to enter service Docker start okay doer has already started again we need to go with sud sudo Su with the [Music] RO now copy this command and uh paste it over there and it will ask for the password first copy this thing come back to this one and paste it here paste it now click enter MySQL option H required an argument okay it is not I think there is a space issue so let me correct this thing I will work fine again come back and paste this command and paste it here wait for it now click enter wow now it is asking for the password come back to your dashboard and uh where is my database let me go back database one there is password okay all the credentials are here I'm just showing it copy this password again come back to console now here in this option in the clipboard paste it and click on paste this thing and click all click on enter okay just now we are inside mysq guys so uh for just now we are connected with our mySQL database okay so let me show you like what are the default databases which are present so there is one command so databases can you see there is default database and MySQL so these are default database so let us create our own database so the command will be create create data base like DB okay now our database is created if you want to see again type the same command so databases now you can see your DB1 is present here let us create one table here create table uh my table let me give a name my table or you can give a name like employee let us suppose I want to create an employee here in my database employee which kind of data this employee table is going to have let us suppose I want to have ID of employee so it will be of type int and uh I am going to make this ID as primary key primary key is done now the second thing which I want is name which will be of type where care where care simply means a string so we need need to give uh now next thing next field which I want is age okay so age will be of type int so now let us create our table things are done click on enter now our table must be created let me show you how you can see it DC describe employe can you see ID name age all things are available here okay your ID is considered as your primary key now let us move ahead and uh insert some data in our table so the command will be insert insert into insert into your table name which is employee insert into employe values I'm going to give let us suppose uh uh ID will be one and uh let us consider the name as my name I'm going to give s y am saying okay fine now what will be the age let us consider is at 24 fine so semicolon add the end click enter now the First Data is get stored in our database or in our table okay so let me show you so the the next command will be select from select from employee okay wait for it I have already typed the command but it is bit slow so now click enter can you see our first data is inserted okay so what uh uh we have seen till now we have created one database using MySQL as you can see okay using MySQL we have created one database and we got all the credentials here and later on we have created one instance or virtual machine or server and uh in your server we have installed Docker as well as your MySQL engine sorry MySQL server your engine is here the server is in the instance okay with the help of that server we will be able to connect with this engine MySQL engine and we will be able to access it okay anyone has any query or question in this point what we have done till now let me show you users graphs here it must be goes up can you see this graph it goes up the CPU users is going up okay the dis operation is also getting up all the things the network part part you can see the graph okay as much as the use is going to be increased it will uh bid will be reflected here in the graph okay can you see all the queries which we have run over there all the queries are reflecting here you can see the username and all those things and if you want to migrate your MySQL so they give you an option of that one as well okay so here you have to enter the host name username code number and password okay with that we will be able to first you just uh test the connection after establishing the connection you can begin the migration okay now let us come back the first part is done we have created this thing and uh now let us connect with our my uh post gray SQL which we we have uh created okay so we we need to check this thing our post gray SQL is also ready so let us enter this one here and uh let me open this uh same thing over another tab also guys anyone has any query uh up to this part which we have covered because I'm looking into the chat box if you have any quer till now you can ask okay I will answer your questions like what we have covered till now what we did if you have any qu your question you can ask [Music] okay now okay fine you guys don't have any query so let us do one thing let us uh restart our server and we will reconnect it and uh we will repeat the process for your post gql we will uh try to install the post gr or let us create one new instance for it okay your post gray SQL is ready and we just need to create one new instance for this post gray SQL okay so we are going to create one new server fine uh yeah we can delete this one because it is not good to have the server which are not required so you can delete this one now click on deploy sorry click on deploy a new server click on shed CPU option click on Delhi and then scroll down click Onan Linux and uh 25 GB the storage we are going to use we are not going to have this IPv6 and auto backup I'm going to disable this thing I don't need auto back up now SSH key if you want to give give it to it now give the name to your server post gr SQL Server Okay click on deploy in a meanwhile let me copy this thing and uh paste it here so that we can modify remove this one now paste it for my post csql your server is uh in installing state so in a meanwhile let us come back to our database dashboard here is the host so copy this host name from here come back in the command section you just have to paste it up to Doom okay fine and uh yes let it here let it here and let us check our uh server is running now open this one click on Console but let me copy the password first on Console wait for it it is in process yes yes uh it will be available on the channel so later on you can also watch this okay so wait for it it is still in process so let me again click on cons Let me refresh this page once cck on now it is uh about to start okay F you just need to enter the username username is by default root so let me first enter the username uh uh root okay the username is enter now paste the password here and click on paste let me uh click on enter someone ask is the deadline of page one IDE submiss extended till 15th of October 2024 uh I will check this thing if the if this date of sub submission get extended then it must reflect on the dashboard I will show you on the haathon page now it will reflect so we are connected uh with our uh server so someone asked went out so let me check it once and then we will w hackathon page one submission is start from 13 okay starting date is mentioned here okay phase one submission is going to end on 15th of October so it is mentioned here okay fine so let me come back uh we are connected with our console so we need to run the commands again uh First Command will be a uh APK update okay type it here APK update Now APK add docker it is adding your Docker thing your Docker is ready and we need to RC update at Docker let me copy the command and we will paste it come back enter now again come back here start the Stocker thing now paste it here as fast as possible now click on enter now it is started your Docker is started uh what we need to do we need to type sudo Su the command which we have put it on the notepad copy this command and come back here on the console paste it okay and at this time we are going to connect with our post gray SQL engine okay the command is getting pasted so wait for it click enter okay it is still in uh okay it is uh installing the poost GD SQL server on your instance okay now it is asking for the password so let me go to the dashboard of uh this and from here you will uh find the password copied and come back to the console okay paste it here past it now what you need to do you just after pasting the password you just have to click enter now we are connected with your post gray SQL okay which is uh it is default DB okay so by doing this you will be able to connect with your post gray and uh I have shown how you can connect with your MySQL as well so the command to see the I mean the available databases is you can see all the things all the databases which are available on your post SQL so let me come back to the dashboard part and let me show you what kind of kind of changes are happening here can you see the users get up like the CPU users the disk operation the network part everything is getting up at the last here you can see okay so query logs if you see so the queries which we run over there is also appearing here okay okay connection pool is also there and the migration as I have told okay so we have created post gray as well as your mysq so what we need to do let us uh create one more thing we have done these things on your Alpine Linux okay so for now let us create one more uh operating system using ubu okay let me destroy this one click on deploy new server and move ahead with the creation of instance so choose this shed one uh Delhi I am again going to choose scroll down and there is option of ubu Linux I'm going ahead with 22.4 select this one sorry select this and I don't need this IPv6 and uh I don't need auto backup so again this this thing SSH key is uh not mandatory but if you want you can have so I'm going to give a name as click on deploy now we will run this command and we will uh we will be able to connect with our database okay mySQL database let it get available guys anyone has any query or question till now what we have done we have uh created mySQL database and uh then we have created your server I mean one instance or virtual machine and then we establish the connection between those two okay and later on we have created uh one post gray SQL database and then we have created one new instance and we establish the connection between those two as and now we are going to create one virtual machine using another operating system which is euru for now and we will establish the connection with your database let us move ahead with mySQL one come back to this one uh let me copy this uh password I think it is still in process so yeah it is better to wait but now it is available click on this button it will redirect you okay fine fine still in installation process so wait for it now it is asking for the username and uh password so let me first enter the username and uh I have copied the password from the overview section of your dashboard or your server dashboard past it here and now click enter wait for it it is yeah now connection is established what we need to do we need to run the First Command uh sudo apt update in the in this case we are going to use AP and previously we have used APK okay so paste it here and it will click on enter wait for it it is still in process now it is done so again let us copy this command and we are going to install this Docker past it here and click on it now it is installing the docker thing okay now it is done so we need to do some changes in our uh let me copy that same thing from here or let me copy the same and we will modify the host only okay come back U so remove this one paste it here and what we need to do we need to go to the dashboard of database and here uh copy this post here come back to your notepad and from uh vulture to Doom okay paste it find there there should not be some space issues so let me correct this one uh here as well now copy this command and come back to your console and let us try to establish the connection paste it minimize this thing and click on into now it is going to install this MySQL so it is downloading the things you can see and it will establish the connection as well we just need to enter the password so let us copy the password in the meanwhile it is doing its process so here is the password so come back to this conso so it is asking for password as you can see at the end it is saying enter password so paste it here and click on paste button now the password is not visible but uh it must be pasted so click on enter now we are inside this MySQL so let me enter some commands so databases [Music] okay it is process wait wait wait yeah now it is so so sometimes your console may be slow because the things are happening on cloud and internet speed also matters here so uh you need to have patience while dealing with this Cloud okay as you have seen like I entered the p uh command and click enter and it takes some time so now we are connected with our MySQL using ubu okay the instance type is of2 or you can say the operating system is2 and we are now connected with this one so uh is there any query or question guys in this part which we have covered today okay you can ask and uh I will answer all of them and then we will wind up the session okay I'm looking into the chat box if you have any query or question you can ask in the first lecture now uh after the introduction part of this I think uh I have shown uh the full deployment part okay how you can deploy a full Java application over there okay so you can go through that one okay so I hope you guys have enjoyed the session and uh if you have any query or question you can directly ask to me and uh if you do not have any query or question then I will bind up the session okay okay so let us find up thank you guys thank you so much basically uh which AI services available uh as compared to that one if I talk about the AWS and uh gcp so they have uh Sage maker and Google vertex so this kind of facility is not yet available on this platform I hope you are asking about that one okay so okay so thank you guys thank you so much for joining and uh best of luck to you all thank you
