book [Music] thanks for tuning back in on NP station so this story is about a very magical orchard and the main character is Isabelle and her family members are her mom dad and her six-year-old sister named Junie and Junie has cancer so right now she's in the hospital so um just now you know Isabelle comes back from school and it's so hot that day that she needs a rest she wants to go in the cool shade and relax so she goes over to the orchard and there she sees a huge beautiful looking tree and she finds out that this tree is a chance seedling a chance seedling is actually a mix of two trees isn't that cool so she goes over to the tree and just rest there she just lies down she takes off her shoes and then a tiny cute little squirrel comes scurrying there and he just looks up at is about and Isabella starts like talking to the squirrel can you believe that she kind of gets his feeling that she can understand what the squirrel is saying to her so she's like reading the squirrels mind so like the school is asking Isabelle do you know where my nuts are did he take my nuts and Isabelle's like what are you talking about she talks back to the squirrel but then the squirrel comes over to her and she sees that her shoe is laying on the in the grass and he the school it takes is about shoe and goes over next to the Chan ceiling and there he goes is about like a signal saying Marie this shoe and is abbess confused like why would she bring her own chil cuz that's the only pair she has so he's saying burry the shoe like right next to the chance ceiling but she is confused but the squirrel she thinks you get the feeling that the squirrels the squirrel knows better than her in the Melek orchard so she follows what the squirrel says then breeze the shoe she digs the whole places the sneaker inside and just puts packed the dirt back up on top so she goes back in and the next day and it's a school day so she wakes up early to see what action to get her shoe because she has to go to school so she goes over to the chance ceiling and she dips back up the hole but she sees there's the shoes gone the shoe is actually gone and she has no idea what happened but this is actually her yesterday was her first time actually seeing and looking at this chance ceiling so she looks at it and it actually has like a twisted trunk and when she gets this memory that yesterday would she bury the shoe she saw blue roots coming up and wrapping around the shoe isn't that amazing that really surprised me so this tree has blue roots and a twisted trunk and she thinks something's up at the shape like something magical and before she like moved in this Melek Orchard place she didn't believe in magic and now she's kind of getting a thought about believing in it so she sees up in the tree that there's so many like pods like orange pods they're not even fruit and she has no idea what they are so she goes and jumps up and plucked the nearest pod it's orange is the colors orange and it's like a flower but it hasn't bloomed yet so it's like a raindrop shape says you pilas down is very ripe so she peels down like a banana the peel and there you won't believe what she sees inside she sees a shoe guy she sees a shoe so now she's thinking that a shoe has been our plant thing like growing in these pods that's crazy so she picks like she plucked some two more pods when she opens them like one of them has some rain boots inside another has some slippers wow I would love to have lac tree in my backyard so now she figured out what this tree actually does she finds out that if whatever you bury like next to the chance healing tree it's going to grow those things suppose if you burry a book you can a bunch of other books are gonna come growing out of the pots so she Chuck's on her watch and she's getting really late to go to school so she runs over with her backpack and she puts some rain boots inside because she checked the weather and she saw it's gonna rain and that under evening so she goes with a backpack and starts running to the bus stop because she already sees the bus coming down the road so she keeps running and running but then she trips she trips on the sidewalk on the sidewalk and all of her homework and all the shoes come and fall out of her backpack so now she has a bunch to clean up and her homework is getting wet because of the rain so she's taking everything up but before she finishes a girl comes up to her and her name is Kiera and they're actually neighbors but Isabelle's never talked to this girl before and never even thought of being her friend so secure Kiera asked is about do you need any help and Isabelle just like she's not shy she just doesn't want to make any friends because she has lots of problems going around her family because her mom is also kind of lazy all the time and her sisters in the hospital so she kind of she just doesn't talk to her she just ignores her but here is a really really nice girl so she just kneels down and helps her get all the homework in her backpack and she asked Isabelle like why are you holding rain boots in your backpack so Isabelle just talks why are you bothering me you're we're gonna be I'm gonna be late for the bus and Kiera actually rides and goes to the same school as Isabelle so they um after they clean up all the mess they run back to the bus stop and they reach in just in time so they get on and here actually sits with Isabelle on the rest so now she is talking throughout the ride to school and Isabelle is thinking it's kind of annoying and now she's making up something called bus buddies which means now Kiera and Isabelle had to sit next to each other every single school day so once they reach school Isabel finds out that Kiera is in all of our classes even on her volleyball team so before you know it Isabelle and Cara are best buddies now so they plan to playdate at Isabelle's house and when they head over Isabelle is so tempted to show Kira the magic orchard so they head over there and um is about tells I'll Kira all the secrets of the chance healing you know when she buried that shoe she shows that all these other shoes have grown in the pot and also is about tells Kira that's a previous day she has planted some cookies that Kira had gave Isabel so now they start picking the pot and when they open the first one they see a cookie so is about things that there are way more pods in the street and that means way more cookies so they go over and start picking more and more pods and the tree something really surprising happens with the tree the tree actually you know all the branches it's actually like hands so it reaches down and grabs and like makes Isabel and Kira sit on the branches and actually takes them up so now they have this wonderful view of the sunset and the branches are moving like that and like that so it's actually helping Karen is about to pick more pot isn't that really cool so you're picking more and more pots and they're like half done with all these cookies learning more and more and more the not even stop it so until it gets really really dark they're eating so much cookies which is a lot of sugar so um after plant them this wonderful playdate with Kira there's so much other some wonderful and magical things that happen with this tree in the orchard also Isabelle takes Kira to the hospital for
