If you sound unsure in interviews, but you know you're qualified >> You're not alone and she's totally right. This generally comes down to the phrasing and the words that you're using rather than your actual experience. This is why it's so important to go into interviews prepared. If you think that other people are just winging it, you're wrong. They're doing prep work. So your prep work should include prepping three stories of big achievements that you've had over the course of your career that you can reference when you're asked situational questions. Two is if there's any gaps in your experience that you know this job is going to have prepping how you're going to answer the question about that gap rather than trying to avoid it. And number three is knowing how to answer the tell me about yourself question that you know the hiring manager is going to ask at the beginning of the interview. Knowing what kind of words and phrases they put in their job description and being able to highlight those in your own experience while giving tactical clear examples of what you've done and why they need it in their company.
