This week on Wait Just an Infosec, SANS course author Megan Roddie takes the reins as host for an in-depth discussion on the evolution of cybersecurity certifications and the value they hold today. Megan brings on special guests Brian Correia, Director of Business Development at GIAC Certifications, and GSE holder Christopher Haller, to offer their unique perspectives on how cybersecurity skills have evolved over the years and the role that certification plays in validating those skills for the job market and meeting legislative requirements. Together, they share their thoughts on why accreditation matters, and Brian talks about some of the recent changes to the GIAC Certification journey as well as the reasoning behind the changes.
