Born Just Right by Jordan Reeves - Book Review

Today I will be sharing a book which is actually based on a true story from Jordan. This book is called Born Just Right and I definitely learned a lot from this book. Now the book Born Just Right is about a girl named Jordan Reeves who was born with a disability. She explains all the challenges she has gone through and what she has done in her life to overcome them. Something I really loved about this book was that every chapter kind of teaches you a lesson. One of the chapters is called “Don’t Stare, Just Ask”. Jordan tells the readers that a lot of people always stare at her because of her limb difference. So she shares that one day Jordan and her mom were sitting on a bench and this other family came and sat right across from them while eating ice cream. The disturbing part is, the mom and child kept staring at Jordan’s arm. They didn’t even look away one time until they finished their ice cream. That is just not kind! That’s what Jordan hates and not only her, but everyone here would hate it if someone kept on staring at you. And one thing Jordan did is she made these T-shirts and one of them says Don’t Stare, Just Ask! I think it is an amazing idea to make T-shirts like that because I bet people will actually change by seeing them. That’s only one chapter guys. There are so many more lessons that you will learn which will stick with you your entire life. Now let’s come to the most important chapter in the book. First of all let me say, Jordan LOVES glitter! And she got a great opportunity to create whatever she wanted at this camp called Superhero Cyborgs. So Jordan wanted to create something that included glitter. And that’s when she created this invention called… Project Unicorn. Project Unicorn is actually a prosthetic arm that shoots out GLITTER! Yes! Glitter!!!
