This feature allows you to lock your iPhone to a single app, preventing people from accessing content you didn't intend to share. Whether you're letting a stranger make a phone call, showing a family member a photo, or handing your phone to a child to watch videos, Guided Access helps keep your personal information private by restricting access to other apps and features on your device. #ios #smartphone #tutorial

What if I told you your iPhone already has a feature that lets you control what people can scroll, what apps they can access? >> Oh, hello there. Sorry to bother you. Could I just borrow your smartphone for a second? Wait. >> My smartphone? >> Yes, I am in a total bind. >> Well, we all know that feeling of pure, unadulterated panic when you hand your phone to someone. >> Wait, what is this photo right here? >> It is nothing. Do not open that. >> [laughter] >> THE CHILLS WHEN YOUR SISTER STARTS scrolling beyond the picture you showed her. >> [screaming] [laughter] >> And the chills when your friend decides to read more of the chat than you intended to show him. >> [laughter] >> What if I told you iPhone already has a feature that lets you control where people can scroll, what apps they can access, and even lock them into a single screen? It's called Guided Access. Let me show you. First, open Settings and go to Accessibility. Scroll down and tap Guided Access. Turn it on, then set a passcode or use Face ID. Now, open any app you want to lock. Triple click the side button, tap Guided Access, and hit start. That's it. The person can only use that app. They can't switch apps, browse your photos, read your messages, or snoop around your phone. Perfect when you're handing your phone to a friend, a child, or someone who just needs to use one app without accessing everything else. For extended explanation on this topic, click the link below.
