So you've probably heard the phrase "renting is money down the drain" and you've probably been told your whole life, that you should get on the property ladder and buy a home, because once you've bought a home, then you're saving money and it's an investment and stuff, and hey, at least you're not renting anymore and throwing all that money away. BUT it's actually a lot more complicated than that.
