Kubernetes is managing containers. And so when you use the term pods, that's potentially a group of containers, right? >> Correct. Yeah. It's like if I've got a Django backend pod, I may say I want some number of replicas of it because I'm load balancing. So you can scale the pods, you know, horizontally inside of the node. Okay. >> You can scale across multiple nodes to have resiliency. Kubernetes is that orchestration layer that can do all this for you. >> Yeah. A lot of people's objections to Kubernetes are the complexity of it, but the tooling for Kubernetes has gotten a lot better. It still is a whole lot of YAML, but I feel like that there's some nice tools like Carpenter. Uh we also use one called customize. Okay, >> cuz we want to be able to manage Kubernetes not only in the production environment, >> we'll also want a staging environment, a sandbox environment, the local developers environment, and we use Kubernetes front to back, the developer experience all the way through to the production experience. So it's containers forward and backward. If something works in production or doesn't work in production, I should be able to reproduce that easil more easily on my local instance.
