Humanoid ‘Lightning’ robot smashes the half-marathon record

A humanoid robot race was held in Beijing this past Sunday, April 19th 2026. The winning robot was "Lightning" which was developed by smartphone company, Honor. As Reuters reports, Du Xiaodi, one of the engineers said they mimicked elite human runners' leg length and used the liquid cooling technology they use in their smartphones.
