How to connect Superbase with VS Code? So, when your development environment selects native database awareness, you're basically writing code completely blind. Today, I'm going to show you how to deploy the official Superbase extension to map your backend schema straight into Visual Studio Code. Okay, so firstly, open your VS Code editor, of course. Head over to the extension marketplace icon on your left side bar, which is right here. Uh search for Superbase. Let's type right in. Just type in super. And there you go, we have the Superbase right at the very top. And in here, just click on install. Okay. Trust publisher and install. After that, guys, in the Superbase, you choose your project. You go to the projects, of course. Then you navigate to the side panel on the left. Open up project settings. Then in here on the left again, you go to API keys. And in here, make sure [clears throat] to create API keys if you don't have one. Okay, I already have one, so I can just go ahead and copy it. And this key you will need to paste, of course, in order to connect your Superbase. And if you want to vibe code, you can just describe what you want or build in here. For example, I want to connect Superbase to my VS Code. Uh and then uh of course, you'll provide the necessary authentication uh parameters, right? So, as you can see, it tells you copy the project URL and uh the anon {slash} public API key. So, the public public URL is going to be in general uh for example, project ID, right? Or URL, you can take that. Doesn't matter. Copy that, and of course, we go back into API keys and copy this right here. And then provide it here. Provide it right here in this field. And then what's important is you use this kind of command, npm install Superbase {slash} Superbase JS, and this will ensure your connection. Embedding your schema tracking, migration records, and storage assets straight into the VS Code viewport removes the friction from modern full-stack engineering workflows. Enjoy the guide, guys, and I'll catch up with you very soon.
