Cardano is a 3rd generation blockchain led by the co-founder of Ethereum, Charles Hoskinson and Jeremy Wood (ex-Ethereum). They've synthesized a lot of cool ideas from what they've learned in the space like delegated proof of stake consensus, smart contract functionality, KYC compliance, and a more suitable networking protocol than TCP/IP called RINA.
