It is time to start creating great-looking charts in Tableau and use them to build a complete dashboard.
To do that, weโll solve a complete real-life exercise. And each lesson will build up on the previous one.
Hereโs the Excel data, weโll use.
It was provided by a company that has produced several audiobooks and has been selling them at an online marketplace. One of the main components of that marketplace is reviews, so we have two files โ one about sales, and another one containing information about reviews customers left for each audiobook.
Both files contain the date when a purchase or a review occurred.
It will be great if we manage to produce a table that takes advantage of both types of data we have โ when a person bought an audiobook and when and with which rating a person left a review.
If we manage to do that, weโll be able to create several different charts in Tableau that would allow us to learn:
โข If the number of reviews the company receives has been growing?
โข How did the average review score change over time?
โข What is the percentage breakdown between 10-star,9-star, 8-star and other types of reviews?
โข What percentage of people acquiring an audiobook leave a review?
โข Visualize the correlation between audiobook sales and number of reviews, or perhaps visualize the correlation between average review score and sales;
In the lessons to come, youโll see how to do all of that!
