All Ur Resumes Are Belong To Us
If you've been frustrated that every job application you send in is being rejected by an AI, well, you just gotta try this one weird TikTok hack.
One of the most interesting things I read this weekend is about an observation that people on TikTok made for how to get their resumes through the AI screening bot.
Now, what the AI's will often do is they will compare your resume plus your cover letter to what the job description has, and only if it's a high enough match will they actually allow you to then speak to a real person that can actually judge you on your merits.
The trick that they noticed is if you go into the background template of your resume and you paste in white text the job posting, that is enough so that an AI screening tool can see, oh, this person matches perfectly to this particular job application.

This is kind of a clever way to get around a very existential issue that I think we have in technology.
We've been so reliant on AI for so long.
We want to judge people on their merits.
And not merely did they watch the latest TikTok video on how to get around and circumvent these systems.
