The HN UI is terrible
I thought I'd take the opposite side of this thread and see what happens: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=36180051 I've been thinking about how there are sites, like HN and Craig's List, that seem to completely ignore everything out there about good UI/UX design. Mantras like "mobile first" don't seem to be applied at all here. For example, when I read HN on my phone I have to zoom to be able to reliably click a link. Not being critical, BTW, just puzzled because most YC companies are web/mobile product companies that absolutely live by these rules, yet HN visibly ignores them. There are other things I would do differently. For example, I would not have the thread title go to the article/site being linked, I would have it go straight to the discussion.
