Shipping a $0.008-per-call AML API on x402 (and the CDP Bazaar bug we hit on launch day)

On 2026-04-28 ChainAnalyzer landed its first mainnet x402 settlement: an AI agent paid $0.008 USDC on Base via the Coinbase CDP Facilitator and got back a CRITICAL verdict on a Tornado Cash address with 64 detections — no account, no API key, all on-chain. Five implementation pitfalls on our side, one ongoing pipeline bug on CDP's side, and the x402scan workaround that actually worked.
