I am stuck at SEO

Hi everyone, I am new to SEO, and I want to improve the number of user searches for my site. Some background my website has majority of its views are from direct searches and I want to improve the number of referral searches I get. Is there any tutorials out there that help with getting the most out of keyword searches or get higher ranks on certain searches. I am genuinely new to SEO and would appreciate any direction or advice about SEO.
